CASE STUDY
CEDR
CEDR (the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution) is an independent organisation that helps individuals and businesses resolve disputes through mediation, training, consultancy, and complaint resolution services without going to court.
They approached us to replace a restrictive, complex website with a scalable HubSpot platform that could improve key user journeys, protect course booking revenue, and give its internal team more control over content and operations.
About the Project
We began with a structured discovery phase, combining analytics review, stakeholder workshops and a dedicated e-commerce deep dive to understand how users engage with key journeys, particularly around course bookings. This ensured decisions were grounded in real behaviour and commercial priorities, rather than assumptions, while competitor analysis helped validate positioning and identify opportunities to improve conversion.
With these foundations in place, our UX and design teams worked iteratively with CEDR to map user journeys, refine page structures and develop wireframes focused on decision-making clarity. Particular attention was given to high-value pages, evolving the booking experience through collaborative reviews to ensure users could easily access availability, location and course information without friction.
The website was then built on HubSpot CMS using a scalable HubDB-driven content model, enabling CEDR’s team to manage trainers, mediators and resources efficiently without developer reliance. Alongside development, we implemented integrations with Stripe and Make to align the front-end experience with operational workflows, before delivering a carefully managed, quality-first launch to minimise risk and protect ongoing performance.
Key Feature Spotlight
Training and Course Booking
A core focus with this website was redesigning the training and course booking experience, recognising it as central to CEDR’s commercial performance. Through discovery and user journey analysis, we identified that many users land directly on individual course pages, so we restructured these pages to surface key decision-making information such as availability, location and remaining places immediately, rather than requiring additional navigation.
Our UX and design teams developed a persistent, highly visible booking module that stays with the user as they scroll, allowing them to compare options and take action at any point. This was supported by dynamic behaviours, including clear calls to action and waitlist functionality when courses reach capacity, ensuring users are never met with a dead end.
Behind the scenes, we implemented a fully integrated booking architecture, connecting HubSpot, Stripe and Make to ensure a seamless flow from user action through to payment and internal processing. Course data and availability are managed through HubDB, enabling real-time updates and reducing manual effort, while ensuring the booking experience remains accurate, responsive and aligned with CEDR’s operational workflows.
