Directions to axongarside (from M1) • M1 Northbound to Junction 29 / Chesterfield. • Leave M1, follow signs into Chesterfield. As you enter Chesterfield follow signs 'Chatsworth' and 'Buxton' A619. • As you approach village of Baslow you will come to a roundabout where the A619 Chatsworth signs indicate left (first exit). You follow second exit A623 signposted 'Manchester'. • Stay on A623 through open country approx. 20 mins. After passing through village Peak Forest, the road turns sharply left and downhill at Sparrow Pit. At the bottom of the hill the A623 joins the A6. • Turn Right onto A6 (signs are Buxton left, Manchester right). A6 becomes duel-carriageway after approx. 1/4 mile. • At the end of duel carriageway carry straight on through Bridgemont and Furness Vale. Straight through the traffic lights at New Mills Newtown, pass petrol station on right and enter Disley village. • Cross traffic lights in the village (Ram's Head pub on left) past the railway station and Axon Garside is the first building on the left (red brick with grey gable). Total journey time from M1 less than 1 hour. Directions to axongarside (from M40) • Travel north on M40 and join M42 Northbound (signs Solihull). • Exit M42 Junction 9 following signs A446 Lichfield. Pass Belfry Golf Club on right. • A446 runs into A38 at roundabout. Follow A38 over second roundabout. • At third roundabout/flyover, A38 turns right. Stay on A38 past signs for Burton-on-Trent. • Leave A38 to join A50 direction Uttoxeter. • After 6/7 miles on A50 - cross straight over roundabout (still A50) but take the first exit A515 to Ashbourne (road passes under A50). • In Ashbourne, stay on A515 to Buxton. • Straight across traffic lights on the outskirts of Buxton, through centre until mini-roundabout. (Palace Hotel on right) • Travel straight ahead on A5004 Manchester. • Open country for 5/10 minutes then straight across traffic lights in Whaley Bridge, through village and join A6 at roundabout - follow direction Manchester. • Through Bridgemont and Furness Vale. Straight ahead at traffic lights at New Mills Newtown and enter Disley village. • Cross traffic lights in village (Ram's Head pub on left) past railway station and Axon Garside is the first building on the left (red brick with grey gable). Directions to axongarside (from M6) • Leave M6 Northbound at Junction 17 and follow A534 Congleton. • In Congleton follow A536 Macclesfield. • In Macclesfield follow A523 Stockport. • Follow A523 through Poynton. • After passing Brookside Garden Centre on right, go straight through traffic lights. • Pass Carpet World on right and get into right hand lane to turn right at next traffic lights - A6 Buxton. (Rising Sun pub on right) • Follow A6 through High Lane. After a few minutes pass the entrance to Lyme Park on right.• • As you come round the bend you will see four detached properties on the right. • Axon Garside is the last one - red brick with grey gable. If you miss it you will come to Disley Village with station and Ram's Head pub on right. Approx. journey time from M6 less than 1 hour.
Directions to axongarside (from M60) • Leave M60 Junction1- Stockport West/Town centre. • Follow signs A6 Buxton. • Carry straight on through Hazel Grove. • A6 forks with A523 Macclesfield- keep left for A6 Buxton. • Through High Lane, past entrance to Lyme Park on right. • After bends you will see several large houses on right hand side. Axon Garside is the last one (red brick with grey gable). Approx. time from M60 15-20 mins.
